Welcome to Palermo Viejo!

We begin with a traditional Argentine breakfast and a short overview of what’s in store for the day. This is where we set the tone for an unforgettable journey through one of Buenos Aires’ most iconic neighborhoods—Palermo Viejo, also known as Palermo Soho.

The neighborhood through its parks and plazas
As we wander through leafy streets, you’ll learn how this once-sleepy district transformed into the vibrant cultural hub it is today. From the grand entrance of the botanic gardens to hidden corners of Plaza Italia, every stop has a story—and you'll be surprised by how much history is baked into every block.

The local culture, through its food
At each stop, you’ll taste foods that define Argentina. Think sizzling steak, smoky choripán, golden empanadas, provoleta, sweet morcilla, and of course, a cheeky pour of “penguin wine.” Every bite tells a story, and we only visit independent, locally-owned gems—no tourist traps or cookie-cutter menus here.

Art, architecture, and everyday life
Between food stops, the neighborhood itself becomes the experience. You’ll take in vivid street art, pass through secret alleyways, and catch glimpses of daily life in this eclectic barrio. The rhythm of Palermo Viejo is a perfect backdrop to everything you’ll taste and see.

Save room for something sweet
We wrap things up at a family-owned ice cream shop where everything is made in small batches, right on site. A little dulce de leche or fresh fruit sorbet? That’s up to you—but we promise you’ll be ending on a high note.

Pressed for time? Choose from our three curated half-day options starting at 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, or 4:30 PM. Each version highlights different flavors and stories while keeping the intimate, immersive spirit of the full experience.

Optional Add-Ons
Looking to go deeper? You can add one of these experiences to your tour:

  • Wine Tasting: Taste three Argentine wines at a cozy boutique hotel with a knowledgeable local host. Adds about one hour.
  • Craft Beer Tasting: Sample small-batch brews and snacks at a neighborhood bar with a strong community vibe.

Pick-Up Service (Optional)

Our tours begin at a designated meeting point in Palermo Viejo. Most guests prefer to meet us there, but if you’d like assistance getting to the starting point, we’re happy to help.

We offer private pick-up service from your hotel with one of our trusted bilingual drivers (subject to availability and distance). This service is available for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance.

If you're staying within 1.5 km of the meeting point and you booked a private tour, we may also be able to have your guide meet you at your accommodation and walk with you to the starting location. Just let us know when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Please contact us in advance to request a rate quote and confirm availability.

Drop-Off Service (Optional)

Many guests choose to continue exploring on their own after the tour, so drop-off is not included as part of the experience.

Our guides are happy to help you get to your next destination—whether that means pointing you toward a great local spot, helping you hail a cab, or assisting with a ride-share app.

If you'd prefer a private driver to take you back to your hotel or another location, we can arrange that in advance with one of our trusted bilingual drivers. Just let us know when booking, and we’ll be glad to assist you.

What to Bring

Please wear comfortable shoes—you’ll be walking, tasting, and exploring throughout the day. We recommend dressing for the weather, as much of the experience takes place outdoors.

In warmer months (October to March): Bring sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. A refillable water bottle is also a great idea.

In cooler months (April to September): We suggest bringing a light jacket or an extra layer, especially for the morning and evening hours.

This is a relaxed, stylish neighborhood, so feel free to dress casually—but comfortably—for a day of discovery, good food, and great company.
